What is Fitment Factor?

Fitment factor is the multiplication factor (2.86) applied to current basic pay to determine revised pay under 8th Pay Commission.

How to Calculate

1. Take current basic pay
2. Multiply by 2.86
3. Round to nearest 100
4. This is your revised basic pay

Example Calculations

• ₹18,000 × 2.86 = ₹51,500
• ₹35,400 × 2.86 = ₹1,01,200
• ₹56,100 × 2.86 = ₹1,60,400
